I really tried to like this scooter since I spent 1–2 months researching this scooter. I was looking for a compact, light, portability, durable, ~20 mph, and comfortable scooter. It hit all the major points: 29 lbs, light and easy to carry (especially with the carrying handle). The top speed was ~23 mph. It has dual suspension and I didn’t have to worry about flat tires since both were solid tires. But that’s the double-edge sword of this scooter that ended up making me hate this scooter and eventually sell it.

The solid tires on this scooter is 8 in in diameter made of a rubber-like material called polyurethane. When I started riding this scooter, it felt great. I felt like I didn’t need pneumatic tires because the ride was so comfortable with the dual spring suspension. NYC roads felt like nothing and potholes felt like nothing. But ignorance as probably bliss. I started feeling a lot of slippage especially on the green-paved bike lanes when it was dry out and when it was raining I decided not to even ride for fear of sliding. I would never make abrupt or sharp turns feeling that the scooter would just slide under me. One morning, I road the scooter on a dry day and I ended up sliding and falling. That bike path was wet probably because a doorman or porter was hosing the sidewalk. And I was going straight. Ever since then I have been pretty nervous riding my scooter with fear of just slipping to the point where it was not a joy to ride anymore. I would ride straight without weaving past holes or grates with my hands tense around the handlebars. So I sold it. If the ETwow had a pneumatic tire option, I think this would be one of the best scooters to buy on the market.
